Rev. Joshua Walker - Teaching Elder -

Joshua Walker was converted to Christ during his time in high school. Through the ministry of the local church, he heard about his sin and his need for a Savior and was converted to Christ. After high school, he married his high school sweet-heart, Krystle, in 2003. Both Joshua and Krystle are native to the Phoenix area.

Joshua received his Bachelors in Philosophy from Grand Canyon University (2006), and then he received a Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS (2010). He completed all degree requirements for a PhD in New Testament (2013) from McMaster Divinity College, except the dissertation (ABD), which is in Greek Linguistics. He also currently teaches at Grand Canyon University in the College of Theology.

Joshua and his wife live in the Valley of the Sun (Gilbert) with their son Calvin. Joshua has a passion for the gospel and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. His conviction is that God will bless the church through the ordinary means of grace God has given to build up his body, which include, the preaching of the word, the administration of the sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s supper), fellowship, and prayer.

Please stay tuned for updates!

Meet Ruling Elder Mike Bradley

Mike was born, raised and spent the first 43 years of his life in Oakland, CA.  He came to Flagstaff in 1995.  He is married to our Administrative Assistant Brigitte.  They are a blended family, and Mike has two grown sons. Before being ordained in the PCA, Mike spent 41 years as a firefighter/medic, fire officer and fire chief.  He was the Fire Chief in Hayward (CA), the City of Flagstaff and the Highlands Fire District.  He served concurrently as an officer in the US Coast Guard Reserve.  In addition to these duties, for 20 years he served as a National Incident Commander and was hired by the Federal government to command responses to wildland fires, floods, hurricanes and other natural and manmade disasters.

Mike has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Technology and a Bachelors and Master’s Degree from the University of San Francisco (yes, a Jesuit University!).  He also spent several years teaching at various colleges and universities part time.

Mike is involved in many ministries both at COR and outside of the Church.  He has played the bass with worship teams for over 40 years.  He is also an active member of the AZ Presbytery.

Mike enjoys weightlifting, mountain biking and hunting and fishing in his spare time.  He and Brigitte enjoy traveling and have a small apartment in Bad Wimpfen, Germany; Brigitte was born and raised there.

Mike says that his study, examinations, internship and ordination is one of the highlights of his life.  He has a heart for serving and has spent most of his life in service to the Nation, the community and the church.

Elias Reyes - Ruling Elder, US Army Ret., Founder-Oasis of Hope Minist -

I have been blessed in life to have Jennifer Reyes as my wife.  We are a blended family and together we have 5 children ranging from 14-27.  I served my country in the United States Army for 16 years.  Due to injuries sustained in Iraq, I was medically retired in 2009 and  Honorably Discharged.  Jennifer and I are the Founders of Oasis of Hope Ministries.  This ministry has taken us across denominational boundaries and allowed us to disciple, evangelize and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ not only in Flagstaff but in other states in the continental U.S. and for the last two years to Costa Rica.  Jennifer and I have been active members at COR for almost four years.  Last year (2018), I was invited to serve as a Ruling Elder, and very recently as a member of the Pastoral Search Committee.  I am currently a full-time student at Northern Arizona University pursuing a double major – Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology and a Bachelors of Science in Photography.

“There is no greater joy than to see the least, the last, and the lost come to Jesus.  It is truly a great joy and honor to preach the Gospel. Once people’s hearts are flooded with God’s love…the transformation is unbelievably amazing.”
- E. R. Reyes

Liz Skowronski - Worship Team Leader

Liz was born and raised in Kenosha Wisconsin, studied music at UW Parkside and Milwaukee Conservatory of Music.  She also sang and recorded with North Texas State University Jazz Singers and studied with vocal coach Seth Riggs in Los Angeles, coach to Natalie Cole and Andrea Bocelli.  She also enjoys songwriting/recording and recently attended Gloria Gaither’s song writing intensive where Stuart Townend instructed and is really looking forward to going again this year!

“And as interesting as all that was, nothing comes even close to how fulfilling and satisfying doing music is now!" says Liz. "I enjoy practicing more now than I ever did.  I do practice more now than I ever did. You can’t be sad while you’re singing praise songs.  You can’t be sad while you’re singing about God, who He is, what He’s done and His promises!  There truly is a peace which surpasses all understanding.  What a blessing to be able to live it!”

Liz met her husband Brian while in music school at Parkside and wholeheartedly enjoyed homeschooling their 2 sons David and Daniel.  She fondly remembers Bible maps sprawled all over the floor during morning devotionals, Bible studies and the great blessing of learning together.
