Musical Notes from Patty
Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:19)
I have been so blessed by the people of this church and worship teams. Your prayers for me have been comforting and given me strength to go on. I would like to feature some of our worship team members, in the next few months, so you can get to know them better.
One of our newer members is Noah Chesterman. He plays drums and washboard for us but also plays piano, ukelele and digeridoo. He is a senior at Flagstaff High School and is the section leader for the percussion in the marching band.
His family includes Tom and Beth, his parents, and an older brother Chris who is in Africa serving in the Peace Corps.
Noah is working on becoming an Eagle Scout, like his dad. He plays and designs board games. This summer he worked as a counselor at a music camp in Alaska. They have asked him back as a teacher for next year! He played with several groups doing folk music, jazz and bluegrass.
His goal is to be a musical therapist. Please keep him in your prayers. I find him to be very compassionate, wise beyond his years and a complete "wiggle worm". I love the positive attitude and the energy he brings to us. May his time with us bring him closer to our Lord and give him memories that will help sustain him through life.
